Walk the Wolli Valley, Saturday August 9th, 8:45am to approx 1:00pm
Join us for a leisurely 4.5 km walk through the bushland and parklands of the Wolli Creek Valley from Bexley North to Undercliffe on Saturday August 9th : 8.45 am – approx. 1.00 pm
This will be a guided walk along the Wolli Valley Track of the Two Valley Trail from Bexley North to Wolli Bluff, Undercliffe (over looking Waterworth and Gough Whitlam Parks).
The walk has historical and environmental commentary, and introduces some of the current issues about the Wolli Valley.
It includes an ascent of Nannygoat Hill, a visit to the Turrella weir Fishway, views of the Grey-headed Flying-fox camp and a stop at one of the Jackson Place historic sandstone houses for a cuppa and snack, and a short talk about the history of Jackson Place and its wonderful houses.
Free to members (you can arrange to join prior to the day), but advance registration is essential as these walks are popular and numbers are limited.
