Clean Up Australia Day – Sunday 4th March, 2018; 9 am to approx 12 noon
This year we will be working to clear up litter from Paperbark Creek in Bray Avenue, Earlwood.
Lots of rubbish gets washed from the road into the creek via the storm-water drain. This area is looking beautiful with all the bushcare work carried out, and we want to complement that hard work by removing the rubbish from along the small creek.
Meeting Place : Close to the TVT (Two Valley Trail) sign post, on the grassy area in Bray Ave, just across from Richards Ave in Earlwood; 9 am sharp.
What you need to bring: Sturdy covered shoes (please, no sandals or thongs); clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty (long sleeves are good); gardening gloves if you have them; a hat and sunscreen; and water if it’s a hot day. Morning tea will be provided.
Children of school age and older are welcome to help, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Registration: It is essential to register, and preferably before the day as it helps us with morning tea provision.
Online at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/register/Paperbark+Creek , or you can contact our organiser. Everyone working on site has to be registered. A hard copy register will also be available at the site on the day.
