Bats and Plants walk – Saturday 3rd September, from 4 pm BOOKED OUT
A short one-way walk with a special focus on the Grey-headed Flying-foxes which roost in the Wolli Valley, and some of the plants that they rely on for food. Finish will be close to dusk. Stay on after the walk to watch the fly-out of thousands of Flying-foxes from their Wolli/Turrella camp. Starting point is at Girrahween Park, close to Bardwell Park railway station. Buses also stop close by in Earlwood.
Return to starting point at Girrahween Park by train, get picked up at Turrella Reserve, or organise a car shuffle.
