Planting Day 18 April
We are seeking volunteers to help with our planting day on Sunday 18 April from 9.30am to 11.30am. This is a one off event as we have received a grant that includes funds to extend the planting area at Illoura Reserve where a previous planting day was held some years ago. Our bushcarers have continued to maintain this area and now we want to extend it. Come along and help us plant seedlings, to build on this previous planting day.
Please bring your own gloves, drinking water and suitable clothing (long sleeve shirts and trousers, sturdy shoes and sun protection). Morning tea will be provided but please bring your own mug!
Children are welcome and must be supervised. They might like to bring a small watering can to help us water the seedlings that are planted.
We will meet at the end of Johnston Street Earlwood at 9.30am. It’s a 10 minute walk from Bexley North Station.
RSVP is essential. Numbers are limited so we need a firm commitment to attend. Please rsvp by 11 April to info@wollicreek.org.au with your name and who will be attending with you and if they are children please let us know.
If you would like to help with preparing and serving morning tea on the day, instead of planting, please let us know as we will need some help with this also.
These days are a great way for our local community to come together and we hope to see you there.
