Walk the Valley on Sunday 22nd March – the full (4.5 km) Valley walk from Bexley North to Undercliffe
This is a leisurely guided walk down the Wolli Valley with historical and environmental commentary, starting at 8.45 am at Bexley North, and finishing around 1.30 pm at ‘The Bluff’ at Undercliffe. The Wolli Valley is easily accessible by public transport.
Along the way we will visit significant spots in the Wolli Valley and provide information about issues affecting it, including the threat to the bushland from the Westconnex tollroad project.
We will pass a number of bush regeneration sites, the Wolli Grey-headed Flying-fox camp, and the fishway at Turrella weir, ascend Nannygoat Hill and take in the panorama from there, stop at historic Jackson Place for an historic video, and a talk about the history of Jackson Place and its lovely sandstone cottages (plus a rest and a cuppa ) – and more.
