Last night (9 March) Inner West Council unanimously passed a resolution in support of our call for the Minister for Water to review Sydney Water’s proposed location for its Odour Control Unit. See the InnerWest Council motion.

Planning Minister Stokes has issued a draft SEPP with five principles to guide planning of public places – the OCU breaches 4 of them and probably 5 if no. 5 could be understood. For more see 210307 SEPP and OCU v3

WCPS has sent a letter to the Minister for Water Melinda Pavey again asking her to intervene to prevent the appalling OCU decision by Sydney Water being implemented. Text of letter to Pavey
We have begun a rolling program of flyer handouts at various locations, following on from our letter boxing efforts. Total signatures passed 3,200 and a new press release was issued: OCUMedia release 210215.

The petition launched on Jan 20 has moved steadily past 3,000 today. This is a good result, but we need an overwhelming one, so let’s keep at it.
