Art in Nature-guided art session and short walk
Art in Nature-guided art session and short walk in the Wolli Creek Regional Park, Saturday 12 September 9.30am till 12 noon
Join us for a morning art session focussing on the beauty of Wolli creek and its environs. Spend two hours drawing and painting in nature, where you will learn to appreciate familiar landscapes through a variety of drawing and painting techniques, under the guidance of an experienced illustrator. An optional guided, easy short walk will precede the drawing/painting session.Take the opportunity to slow down and connect with nature, and learn about the history and ecology (the plants, birdlife, creek life) of the local landscape on the walk, and as you sketch or paint.
The walk will start at 9.30 am and the art experience at 10 am.
BYO preferred art materials if you have them. Some basic materials will also be available.
Open to individuals 17 years and over.
This event is led by volunteer members of the Wolli Creek Preservation Society (WCPS) and will commence at Turrella Reserve.
